Hi. I am a native German living in the UK since 97. I am a in the UK qualified language teacher (PGCE) with Business Studies as my first degree. Before I became a language teacher I worked as a business consultant in the manufacturing / automotive industry (Daimler Benz, BMW, Smart) especially SAP Supply Chain. In terms of translations: I have summarized product descriptions into short product descriptions before, translated academic papers and business correspondence. My usual rate per word is $0.04 for translation, $0.03 for editing (eg of Google translations) and $0.02 for proofreading. I would be available 10 hrs per week max. I haven’t yet done the sample translation but I will do if you think that my rates are within your budget. If you want me to do the sample translation I would also like to know whether abbreviations such as BA (Bestellanforderung) shall be transformed too (in this case into PR (purchase requisition)). If my translation rate is too expensive or my availability to low for you, you might want me to proofread the translations and so bring in my SAP experience. Tx Angela
