We have a Western Digital My Passport USB 3.0 portable hard drive. It was connected to a mac. This hard drive was dropped on the floor from a shelf while the power was off. It powers up while connected via USB and makes no strange noises. Then it starts beeping and shuts down. I suspect the problem is nothing more than a damaged head actuator but this means opening the drive in a clean environment. Because the drive contains privileged files including personal information the drive must be fixed in our Miami Beach office location. Please let us know how much it will cost to recover the data and how long the process will take.

I can Recover the data, first when you connect the disk into the machine, the machine recognize the disk? the process to recover the data, i need to create a Image of the disk, after create the image i work on the image i don't need the physical disk. I have many tools to do this project. Thanks.
