Hi, I am submitting a book to [login to view URL] for publication. They require it in PDF/X-1a:2001 compliant format and the PDF of the bookblock is not compliant. Can someone ensure that it is compliant and send the document back to me. "Re bookblock: Reason: File is not PDF/X-1a:2001 compliant, is RGB with ICC profiles, multiple fonts not embedded, Draft graphic should be flattened to tiffs (contains many complex vector points 1200 x 1200 res). See website for file creaation guidelines. We would like to ask to upload a revised file via your Lightning Source web account." I can supply the non-compliant document that I made with Distiller 7 or the original Word file. Their guidelines are at [login to view URL] but if someone is familiar with Lightning Source already that would be best as then it might only take a few minutes. Thanks and all the best, Louis

Hello, I have years of practical pre-press experience from working in the design and pre-press department of a printshop and newspaper. I send out x1A compliant PDF files every day. RGB art will need to have the native files changed. I have hundreds of fonts at my disposal, I will probably have either the exact font, or a font that is the same but by a different manufacturer. $30 bid is for fixing around 10-15 pieces of art, with fonts that translate quickly and for producing and sending the PDF. You will need to provide the native Word file and all the native art pieces. If there are more art pieces, or I do not have the exact font, I will immediately inform you, advise you as to what I can or cannot do, and proceed as you decide.
