I'm seeking a skilled developer to integrate Steam login into my phpBB 3.3.11 forum. The project involves displaying public Steam profile information, and setting the integration to sync only when users request it. Key Requirements: - Implement Steam login: Users should be able to register and login to my phpBB forum using their Steam accounts. - Display Steam Profile Info: The integration should also automatically retrieve and display the user's public Steam profile information on their forum profile. - Sync on User Request: The integration should allow users to manually sync their Steam profile information with their forum profile. This should not be automatic. This plugin can replace the default phpBB login/register form and process to log them in using Steam when clicking login. There will not be another way to register other than with a Steam account. - The user's steam profile avatar can replace the user's forum avatar/profile image with the user's steam image from avatars.steamstatic.com. - The plugin must not use external services except for the Steam API. The plugin needs to be hosted and run on our website forum. Ideal Skills: - Extensive experience with phpBB forum software. - Strong understanding of Steam's API and authentication protocols. - Familiarity with automated data retrieval and display systems. - Ability to implement user-initiated sync processes. Other information: - I can provide API credentials, including the steam API key needed for this to work. The goal of this project is to allow people to log in using their Steam profile while respecting user privacy by ensuring that data synchronization is user-initiated.
