Drupal - Custom module to send email reminders based on webform date field

There are various module in Drupal to send reminder based on web form date-field. Like date reminder, Send a reminder, Date range validator, entity registration etc and many more. I am quite familiar with these modules. From there I have few queries: - Please let me know, do you need only email messaging system in this module or need other notification medium also? - Will this module support any node type that has cck datetime? - Which Drupal version supported you need? Latest version? Basic work flow: - Need to create a rules component of type 'Action Set' & call it 'send Notification'. - Need to add a variable of 'Entity: Node', give it a label & machine name of 'node' - Add action to the loop of system : 'Send Mail' - Add new rule & call it 'contract remaining days' to react on 'Node:After saving new content'. Restrict it to custom content type - Add action 'Rules scheduler:schedule component evaluation' - select 'send notification' - Set the evaluation date to node:field-event-date. - Add an offset: -1 days (optional) - Add an identifier of 'node-[node:nid]-event' and note its pattern as you will be using it to delete events.
