Amazon Web Service

Dese any one know if it is possible to use Amazon Web Service to get product price and description based on the UPC BAR CODE. If so please provide a short description how to do it. Also if you had done simmilar projects please provide links to your portfolio / websites that you worked on. A shot description is all I am looking for now. No source code is required at this time.
