Javascript Mapping Project

Please read the entire project description before bidding. I have a small project to create something similar to the Itinerary Planner on the top of this page: [login to view URL] The above planner is to calculate campsite locations along the Wonderland backpacking trail in Washington State. My current project is also for backpackers, but those who are hiking the Long Trail in Vermont. Each town represents a place where a backpacker can leave the trail to buy food for the next few days. The goal of this planner is to help people plan their stops into town , based on how fast they hike, and how many total days they have. Features: Ability to move the star (or different icon) to different towns and recalculations made, like in the Wonderland Trail Itinerary Planner. Rather than a clockwise/counterclockwise option, we'd want a northbound/southbound option for the user (radio buttons). On the left side in the Wonderland Itinerary Planner, you see Day 1, Day 2 with the mileage...For this one for the Long Trail we'd want it to say Section 1 , Section 2...with number of days and miles between the section, as well as the beginning and endpoints for each section. ( I have shown an example in the pdf) We would want the user to input Approximate Daily Distance, however it doesn't have to be a slider....(it text input). It should only allow a minimum and maximum. The attached pdf shows the map that needs to have this type of functionality. The background colors, etc... can be changed so that the text is generated by the JS (which I think it is in the example link)....I am not married to that part, we can work on the way that it works best with JS. You'll notice that the is the North Bound (for hikers starting in the South and hiking Northbound), and the towns show the total miles thus far on the journey. We want the overall look to be a little different...so it doesn't look identical....but follows the general idea. I have the JS code for the itinerary planner from the link above....which should speed up your work. This will go into a Wordpress website page. Needs to work across all browsers, iPad, iPhone, Android. Project needs : - Fluent or near fluent English - Good communication via email - Timely work If you believe you can develop this idea so that I can apply it to additional maps in the future, please put that big in your bid message. I would need to be able to add locations and text, have the trail (like the dotted line) connect between locations etc.. This is NOT required, but if you can do it, let me know. Payment : I will 20% to begin and pay the remainder when project is complete. If you have any other questions that need an answer to help you understand the project, let me know.
