Hi in a textile project we need to track a stitching progress of a 350 sewing machines operator. We need someone to suggest what reader to use Also if possible write a program which will gather and send the data from these readers to our mssql database. and if someone has complete solution which will display the real time data and reports then it will be a plus.

I am an industrial engineer with specialties in electricity, electronics and control. 40 years of experience in control, 20 years of experience in microprocessors and 7 years in Arduino. I have already done projects like this I leave a description of the product that is used with Arduino that is also very safe and economical. "RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) readers are currently receiving a lot of acceptance in the identification systems, their use ranges from security systems, personnel access, identification and logistics of products, such as electric door keys, among other applications. Its principle of operation is to pass a TAG, near an RFID reader, the TAG has the ability to send information to the reader. This information can be from a simple code or an entire information packet stored in the Tag's memory. The TAGs come in different models, the most common are in cards and key chains, but they also come as stickers and even are already embedded in some products. The Tags internally have an antenna and a microchip, responsible for carrying out the entire communication process, the energy is obtained from the radiofrequency signal, which although the energy in the signal is small, it is enough to make the microchip work, this is the reason why it is necessary to bring them closer to a small distance usually less than 10 cm.

I can suggest system based on individual bar code readers, networked to an embedded board, which connects to a server through a WiFi router Cost per station could be of the order of USD 70 to USD 80 ( not including bar code reader. You will provide that separately, at each station) and 6 or 7 concentrators in the cost range of USD 120 to USD 150 Details can be worked out on discussion Thanks
