Creating a Mobile COUPONING App for Android and iPhone, after the example of [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] (please download apps for understanding the basics. In the case of Pocketdeals choose Groningen as “stad” (city), in the case of [login to view URL] choose for instance Amsterdam). Also design (look and feel) should not be altered too much. There is NO need to create a back-end or user interface, this is already more or less finished. What the app does is tell consumers who downloaded the app, which offers/promotions are around in their neigbourhood. Users do NOT have to register with e-mail and password. They just can select which categories (ice-cream, restaurant) they are interested in, and then they will receive push-offers/promotions for those categories (“there is a vanilla ice-cream on offer/promotion in this shop that is less than 500 meters a way from you. The push-offers/promotions should work with mobile antenna triangulation, not by GPS-positioning, as the latter would cost too much battery life. If the user wants to see offers/promotions in his neigbourhood, sorted by category, distance or alfabetically), he will just open the app. The app will show him the route from where he is to the shop where he can find the offer/promotion. ONLY once the consumer is in the neighbourhood of the shop, he can activate the coupon (again this verification is done through mobile antena triangulation. This ability to ONLY activate coupon (“slide) coupon to activate, is one of two security features (to ensure to the retailer that finances the coupons, that each coupon is actually used. The other security features are that: 1) the coupon, once activated, only stays active for a certain amount of time. 2) the retailer can set how many coupons can be activated per offer/promotion. Cost should include placement of app in Android Market and iPhone store. Deliverables: 1) Tell what data should be avaibable on a public server (couponinfo, shopinfo, Google Maps info and how (what file-format) it should be made available (XML I suppose). Best would be example input-file for mobile app. 2) Inform me what milestone we can set 3) Give total project fee
