Spolly's Syndications

Background We run a small family business, syndicating racing greyhounds - Spolly's Syndications. It started as a hobby and has grown massively over the last 18 months. To date we have 33 greyhounds fully syndicated and we are looking at increasing that to 50 during this promotion. Last year we took on a small sponsorship at Sale greyhound track and this year we have expanded that to Traralgon, Warragul and Cranbourne. The governing body of the greyhound racing industry (GRV) run a campaign based in Gippsland from 7th December - 30 January called the Gippsland Carnival. This years campaign hasn't been formally launched. Here's the link to last years. [login to view URL] . It's a similar type of event to "Spring Racing Carnival" but spread out over a longer period. Each track has a major cup race worth $40 - $70k to the winning dog. As we are now sponsors at all the tracks involved, in this event we would like to try and capitalise on the GRV's marketing during this period. We have put together a promotion. Please see attached. We would like to launch this promotion on the 7th December. Promotion Overview We are looking at attracting new participates to the industry, by making greyhound ownership easy, affordable and keeping the welfare of the greyhound at the heart of everything we do. The idea behind the promotion is that each track will have it's own little cluster of greyhounds that 20 people own. This will encourage more track visits and help us grow our brand. There is a registration fee of $49 on application and an ongoing weekly fee of approx $15.95. payable via direct debit. See presentation for what this includes. Our branding is very plain, however the Gippsland Carnival campaign is based around each club having a colour. We use black and white signage on track and white and grey off track. You'll see some photo's on FaceBook. We will have a pop up shop at each cup night, were we will be able to sell these memberships and we will be driving it online. All tracks will support us with putting flyers up, we will try our best to advertise in the newspapers where ever possible and do local flyer drops. Again open to suggestions if you have seen anything else work. we have lot's of balloons (black and white) not sure if there is anything else we can do cheap for the kids to have. We don't have a massive budget :-) this is the first campaign we have run like this, so we are looking for an entry level marketing package, however if it's successful we will be looking to go bigger next year.
