Simple, clean logo design for retail clothing company

discern. is a retail business and shop that will be launching in Washington, DC. It is based on a clean, classic and minimalist design ethos. Thus, we are looking for a logo design that reflects these characteristics. Specifically, we are looking for an experienced graphic designer to design a logo for our company/shop (discern. --> the word "discern" in all lowercase letters with a period at the end). We also want "Washington, D.C." to be centered and located under the name discern. Some characteristics that we are looking for in the logo design are: - clean, simple design - large font for the name (discern.), bolded - smaller, different font type for "Washington, D.C." with spacing between the letters that result in it almost spanning the length of "discern.", in a grey scale font to differentiate it from the color of the word discern. located above it - Two versions, 1) black text on a white background, and 2) white text on a black background - Would also like a version that simply states "d.", in a corresponding set of text/background color combinations - Would like the main font for the name "discern." to be similar to Open Sans, Lucida Bright, or Goudy Old Style, something that looks classic yet simple. We are open to other fonts that the designer feels reflects similar characteristics. - Would also like the font to show some element of worn/weathered/aging effect, essentially showing some degree of aging or "heritage" on the characters of the word "discern." - No effect on "Washington, D.C." - Expect to receive high def and low def versions of the images, to include vector image files and jpeg or png versions. Would also like to receive smaller versions of the logos to be used for social media uses, etc... Attached is a very basic design concept that captures the intent of what we have in mind. Please use this to put the aforementioned design qualities in context ("discern." + "Washington, D.C." items on the attached image file). We will eventually need business cards and other design items so the successful designer will have the opportunity for future work as well. Thanks for looking at this design project. Keith
