1. Introduction
The objective of this project is to design and prototype RF and Microwave parts for a new communications system. The system will operate in the frequency range of 1-10 GHz and will use both digital and analog modulation schemes. The parts to be designed and prototyped include RF amplifiers, mixers, filters, and power dividers.
2. Background
RF and microwave communications systems are used in a variety of applications, including mobile phone networks, satellite communications, and radar systems. In order to meet the demands of these applications, RF and microwave components must be designed to operate over a wide range of frequencies and must be able to handle high power levels.
