First, let me rephrase the task to confirm whether I got the clue. 1) you have large excel database of businesses with state code and postcode 2) you have mappings into your stores and states/postcodes 3) you would like to split all the businesses into tabs depending on their states/postcodes (BTW: how would you like to handle the overlapping codes) My approach for such a task: - loading data regarding all the businesses and mapping info into the MySQL database - doing actual matching job by SQL means - selecting out the expected results back to excel - I could deliver my working MySQL database for you to future use My only regard is the budget.
