Suggested contents ● Descriptive versus inferential analysis ● Parameter versus statistic ● Displaying data Graphing methods to display different types of data like frequency chart, histogram, scatter diagram Each method brief should at least include: Purpose and when to use How to use Example with data and graph ● Measures of central location Mean, median and mode Purpose and when to use How to use Example with data and graph ● Measures of dispersion Minimum, maximum, range and standard deviation Percentiles, quartiles and interquartile range Purpose and when to use How to use Example with data and graph ● Normal distribution Briefing about normal distribution How to check if data fits to normal distribution or not through: - Graphing methods - Analysis through Excel (using one test is enough) ● Parametric versus nonparametric ● Using different statistical tests to for: ➔ Parametric data ➔ Non-parametric data ➔ Categorical data For one group, two groups, more than two groups. For each category a test should be described in the format: ➔ purpose and assumptions ➔ How to do it ➔ One or more examples in excel ● Sampling for six sigma projects General principles of sampling and simplified rules for taking samples for six sigma projects Any related addition to the content is welcome.
