Android App - Simple & Clean Social Media News Feed for a Particular Topic

I'm looking for an experienced and creative Android developer to build an app that looks for #<Topic> in social media and displays them like a live news feed, in a simple, smooth and clean interface. <<Functional Req>> Server - Once every 60 seconds, an application on central server shall take turns to gather topic-related information #<Topic> from: Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit - and store in centralized server. Such that each minute there is just one social media site being updated to central server. In 7 minutes all are updated once. > For each update, the application on server shall check if the entry is already in database. If it is already in database, then it will skip. If it is not already in database, then it will create new entry in database. > If there are images, the application on server will also retrieve the thumbnail and resize it to specified size, for uniform display. > All entries are kept for 12 hours. Once an hour, the application on server searches for expired entries and deletes them. Data storage solution can be discussed. - - - Mobile App - At load of mobile app, the feed shall be populated with all entries on server. The population shall be from earliest to latest. While it populates, there shall be a moving image indicating update. The news feed shall look like it is populating and getting bigger while updates continue. - Once every 60 seconds, the app shall query the central server and display them smoothly in the feed. > when app is open in background it will remain updating, the user shall receive alert if there is new update. - Once every hour, the app shall search for expired entries that are older than 12 hours, and delete them from app local storage. - Each entry shall show a small picture of the social media site in upper left corner, a thumbnail if applicable, a title, author and some text. This interface shall be clean, simple, smooth, uncluttered. > If it is all text, user has the option to click expand button, and it will expand the entry to show more text. User can also click the entry link and will be taken to external website where the entry is located. > If it contains image, user can expand image, and that will expand the size of entry to show bigger size of image loaded straight from site. User also has option to click link to go directly to the site. > If it contains a video, user will know it's a video and can expand the entry, and the video will be loaded straight from youtube and played inside the app. The user can also click a link to go straight to watch on youtube. - The user shall be able to scroll up and down the news feed Options: - Users can choose to untick any social media site (default is to have all ticked) > if unticked, it shall remove all existing entries from that social media site already loaded on app. - Users can choose update frequency (default is 60 seconds) - Users can choose not to receive notification of update when app is only in background - Users can refresh news feed - After the 30th time the user opens the app, there shall be a pop-up asking the user to leave a rating each time they exit <<Non-functional Req>> - Best if interface can have the standard Android 4.4 fade in, scroll, and smooth item appearing physics - Google analytics integration - Reasonable performance standard - Scalable across all Android devices - Functional across Android versions 2.2 and above There may be a few other minor specifications that have not been mentioned, but above is pretty much what I'm after. - - - **All code is intellectual property of the Employer and belongs fully to the employer.
