I work in a bank and we usually sell shares to investors. When a company wants to sell a large amount of them they use a mechanism called subasta. The input of this mechanism is a xml file wich has thousands of orders of purchase of shares (each one with different attributes like amount, date, price and the segment to which the investor belongs).
