Read and convert a Gedcom File

GEDCOM files are test files that store family tree history. There are plenty of programs out there that will create, manage and print family tress. Almost all of them print the family tree in an "up to down" style, meaning the oldest person is at the top and the youngest at the bottom. Smilar to a graphics shown on [login to view URL] I am looking for a software or script that will convert the gedcom file into a text file in a "left to right" format. For example the same data shown on the link above will be like. Th only items I want converted are first and last names. All other "informative" attributes can be ignored. I think this means you will need to read NAME and a few other to construct the relationships.([login to view URL]) A sample GEDCOM file is attached to this job.
