Vehicle 3D Model Creation from drawings, plus variations

Create 3D model files of a Land Rover vehicle in 3DS and VRML formats, showing exterior and including 8x optional configurations. Scanned reference material provided. Need a 3D Modeler to create represention of the 3D exterior of a Land Rover truck. This truck should be in a base file, where the model is segmented into 5 to 10 sub-parts or groups. This way each of the sub-parts may be selected, hidden or made transparent by the viewer. (Frame, Wheels, Side Panels, Doors, Roof, Mirrors, etc) We only need the exterior, so do not need engine, interior detailing, etc. The base Land Rover model should be in the general range of 10K to 50K polygons. This model is to accompany a brochure, so the accuracy does not need to be at CAD manufacturing quality, as it is used for marketing and promotion in a web catalog context. Please try to be as accurate as possible based on the scanned brochure. Please set up the world coordinate system units in Meters, so other objects can be added or the model edited in the future at a known scale. The Land Rover can be configured in 8x different deployment configurations, shown in the diagram on the last page of the brochure. We need these "assessories" to each be set up in 8 separate additional files. When loaded together with the base model a completed vehicle should appear. Colors and material properties should match the brochure as close as possible (dark green). Texture should be used in places, where needed, the model does not need extensive texture. No texture images will be supplied. You can do the modeling in any application you want. The deliverable is a set of 9 files in both 3DS and VRML 2.0 formats. We will be turning these into 3D PDF (U3D) format for publication. No animation is needed, might be added at later date. ## Deliverables 1) Complete 3D model files as specified above. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-use condition. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Any 3D modeling system capable of 3DS and VRML 2.0 output (3DS Max, Maya, Blender, etc). Expect high skills in CAD, 3D Geometry, graphic design, game scene development.
