Hello, I have a PostgreSQL table of 14 million addresses. The table has the following fields - ID, House Number, Street Name, Street Type, Locality, State, Postcode, Geom. I need a DB expert to develop a query that will return results to enable me to build the autocomplete form shown on this page - [login to view URL] Therefore I need a fast query that returns approximately 30 addresses based on partial input. Hello, I have experience with PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Python and geocoding data. Is your data based on GNAF? I have developed an API based on that data some time ago. If your autocomplete form can be designed in a "top-down" fashion (select state, then locality, then street and ultimately number) I think we can get quite fast results (a few milliseconds). If you need a single input for the whole address then it gets quite complicated due to the large number of records which can prove difficult even if using indexes like pg_trgm. Best wishes, iticus

I understand we need to write a query which could return 30 addresses based on input from PostgreSQL table containing 14 million records similar to Google Maps example. I'll be honest and transparent to you, we are new to PostgreSQL however we have huge experience with Microsoft SQL hence I am confident of doing it. I have 12+ year of experience in IT field, most of my work is done in MS Technologies. Awaiting an opportunity from you.
