Java Web app + Mobile app

I'm a 6-year experience web and mobile developer. I have been developing mobile apps for Symbian C++, JavaME and Android. I develop apps from end-to-end, DB design, DAO layer the API provision for clients to consume plus the android clients itself. I have worked with REST-based apps, SOAP-based apps, mapping apps. I have developed several complete systems now. Some of my recent works are Trouver app that is to be released soon in Malysia, A hotel quoting app for customers and hoteliers that is based in India, and also I maintain RouteWarrior app for DesertMicor at the US. I have 7 years of experience in building Java based webapps and android apps. Your project seems to be simple and straight foreward. I can use Java based tomcat server and extjs as front end to complete the webapp. For mobiles we can build android or iOS app. If you want more generic then we can build a html5 based mobile site which can be accessed by any mobile using their favourite browser. Hello, You need a web-application that is a client (for accessing cameras) and server (for browsers) in the same time. I think I'm the right person to help you. I'm good in designing APIs and transmission protocols. This is due my long experience of writing client-server software - not only in java but in low-level languages and low OS levels. I always keep in mind performance and security. I'm proficient linux user. I've started to use it like 10 years ago and since 5-6 years I only use operating systems with a linux kernel. For version control I prefer git. I try to introduce it in every project I work in. I would suggest using grails framework (very fast in producing nice APIs entry points and detailed validation of incoming data) but can use Spring MVC too which is more common. Bootstrap framework would be a good base for web UI. I have one question regarding mobile app. You wrote that mobile app should only allow to issue some commands for special users. Do you really need native mobile app? What platforms would you like to support (android/iOS, other)? If you are into native app I would suggest solutions like phonegap since it would cut the development time nearly twice. I cannot precisely estimate the project right now but looks like 2-3 month should be possible when using phonegap 'like solution. Looking forward for you reply! Best Regards, Marcin
