OS X 10.5 has a pixel clock limit which artificially limits the maximum resolution and refresh rate of any Mac computer. I need to have a patch to OS X 10.5's IOKit written in order to remove this limitation. The patch must function on internal displays and display output ports. I spoke with a developer who said it would take ten to fifteen minutes to create a pixel clock patch for Intel-based Macs, but the developer did not know who to write a patch for PowerPC-based systems. The steps needed to produce this patch are fairly simple and are described here: [login to view URL]
