Operating Room Air Quality

I am an orthopedic surgeon interested in operating room air quality and its effects on surgical infections. I am an independent, self funded researcher. I have developed and published a technique to measure air quality during surgery. I now have completed a study of 80 patients and collected data on their outcomes and infection status. I have reduced the data but need help on the statistics section for publication. The design is as follows: 4 surgeons performed 5 cases within a time period = 20 cases / period This was repeated 3 more times at roughly 3-4 month intervals ; 4 x 20 = 80 cases total Patient data regarding age and risk factors was collected. This data should be presented as mean, max, minimum. The only patient outcome of interest was infection; none occurred. However I would like to publish the 95% confidence interval for the proportion 0/80. Patient follow up time interval and number of patients lost to follow up will be reported. Surgeon data is the amount of contamination on two zones during each case. This has been calculated from collected data and is shown on attached spreadsheet as Backtable MDT and Wound Zone MDT. MDT = Microbial Deposition, Total. This data can have very large deviations; this is not unusual for microbiological contamination. I would like the paper to show in a simple manner the variation between each of the four surgeons in each of the four time periods and whether this is statistically significant. A second analysis would stratify case MDT into a scheme best explained graphically. Each case would be a Pass/Fail based on the MDT values from the twp zones. I've attached a graph PDF. Again, surgeon performance (number of cases = Pass) would be reported along with statistical significance. Now, there are an additional 20 patients in a subgroup that I will not use in the manuscript. However, the editors will likely want a sensitivity analysis to show there is no effect from excluding this group.
