Hi!
Details/requirements:
* Read of all shortcuts (name, targetpath, position x, position y) on a 32bits and 64bits windows OS
* Set the position(x,y) of the shortcuts
* No closed 3party dll's. Use only dll's that are shipped with windows.
* Written in python language
The first example in my list, is a perfect example of what I want to be done in python code.
So if the finished pythoncode does the same thing, it would be perfect.
Examples:
* Desktop Icon Save and Restore Command (works in both 32bits and 64bits windows)
[login to view URL]
[login to view URL] save /f "[login to view URL]"
[login to view URL] restore /f "[login to view URL]"
* Autoit has api that does can do it, but only works in 32 bits os(it's unable to retrive the name of the shortcut):
#include
Local $desktopHWN = ControlGetHandle("Program Manager","",1)
$itemindex = 2
; Count shortcuts
MsgBox(4160, "Information", "Item Count: " & _GUICtrlListView_GetItemCount($desktopHWN))
; Set position
_GUICtrlListView_SetItemPosition($desktopHWN,$itemindex,0,0)
; Get text of shortcut - GUICtrlListView_GetItem-api works only in 32bits windows
$aItem = _GUICtrlListView_GetItem($desktopHWN, $itemindex,1)
MsgBox(4160, "Information", "Item 2 Text: " & $aItem[3])
