I have experience coding several web scraper scripts in Python. You can view my two most recent projects in my portfolio section. One of the web scrapers I wrote was similar to this, but it was an interactive command-line tool that scraped inundation analysis data from an NOAA web app and was used in a university project to predict floods. The program asked for which station, type of data, etc, and could output the data in any format. The script was a little more complex because I had to use Selenium Webdriver to input the fields since the page did not respond to changes in the URL.
Recently, I built another web scraper for the same department which was working on a project to assess social distancing. The script I wrote downloads video from a live webcam stream over a user-defined period and max number of videos downloaded. The university will use it to download video from a beach cam over a 24 hour period, then use software to tell if people are social distancing.
I just checked out the BSE site and it looks like it will be easy to obtain the data. I just need some more specific information from you and exactly what data you want, how you want it, etc. I would be happy to help, just let me know.
Thanks for your consideration,
Nathan Allen
