Proofread and Edit Short Book

I registered with Freelancer two years ago and have 173 reviews, all positive. English is my first language and my skills include technical writing, editing, proofreading, and transcribing. In addition, for one year I have been the copy editor for The International Journal of Wellbeing, an online journal, and about six months ago I began as the copy editor for the Blind Foundation of New Zealand. For two years I was a copy editor for Elsevier Science Publishers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, rewriting text by authors who were not native English speakers. I have worked with individual clients to bring more than 25 books to publication and seven of these clients have rehired me to work on further books. Having been a teacher of English in high school for four years, I have spent many hours making corrections and suggestions for students' essays. For an additional two years I was a teacher of English as a second language. For six years I was a member of a writing critique group, regularly reviewing the stories submitted and occasionally writing my own.

My procedure for proofreading your book: 1 First reading, usually skimming through. 2 A more in depth reading to correct any grammatical or punctuation errors. 3 Final reading to ensure any grammatical or punctuation errors not caught previously are corrected. 4 A fourth reading acting as a final review but I doubt this will be needed as it is a short book.
