Joomla Module/Component Development

I am currently using Joomla 1.0.5 and I require some custom module/component development. Please only submit if you have a strong background in Joomla/Mambo. I am very keen to ensure I get code that will be forwards compatable as well as clean. :) Important note! In your response please break out costs by item, as well as a grand total. If you have any recommendations for performance, efficiency, or cost, please send me a PM. 1. Quick search module Simple static html form inserted into a module. HTML form contains 5 menus with multiple fields. Fields, and menus are both static. The form submit action should default to “All Words”. The standard search string easily allows for this: [login to view URL];searchword=KEYWORD&searchphrase=all The template of my site should be extended to allow for the module to load above the main content section. The HTML form should not utilise any table elements as my site template is css-driven. 2. Front Page module I require an extension/clone of the current front page module. The current front page module requires the admin user to select which items should show on the page. I would like for this to be dynamic based on the following criteria: user rating (of the content item) hits of that item (i.e. popular links) In addition to, I would like the following: The ability to define how many items are listed on the front page (example 5-20) The ability to multiselect which content categories can feed this module For performance reasons, I would like for this module to determine this order on a daily basis. My server has cron capabilities. The output should be compatible with Joomla's internal cache. The front page module should not utilise any table elements as my site template is css-driven. 3. Customisation of the search result component Search results in Joomla are limited to 200 characters. I have extended that to be 1000 characters. However, the results seem to ignore any style information related to the content. What I would like is for searches to layout their results the exact same way as the content categories list content. Note: Each RAW result (content item) does contain style and layout information. It may be that search results ignore this.
