GeckoTech is a virtual company with a number of products and services geared for Central America's hospitality industry. All of our employees are scattered throughout the world. We currently use dotProject, SVN, TWIKI and Bugzilla to manager our company, employees, projects, customers.
Are flagship product, JacoPOS, is point of sale and property revenue management system (hotel folio management). *JacoPOS is developed in Java and is a web based app that is based on many open source components.*
We are interested in investigating SugarCRM for two reasons:
1) help GeckoTech Sales and Support staff manage leads, issues, opps, and cases (trouble tickets)
2) Develop special methodology using SugarCRM as a basis and applying SugarCRM and this new methodology for hotels. The ultimate solutions will allow the hotel to collaboratively track reservations and info requests.
3) Investigate ways to integrate SugarCRM via XML to work with our JacoPOS product.
Task 1 is very simple; spend a few hours understanding how GeckoTech does business and providing guidance on how to modify/configure SugarCRM to meet our specific operational requirements. (total of 10 hours?)
Taks 2 is a little more complex, as its definition will ony come from further discussion with the coder. (total of 10 hours?)
Task three is really not to be part this project.. HOWEVER, if the Coder proves to really be a SugarCRM expert and is great at understanding and mapping requirements, we will discuss as future project.
