Portfolio Manager

Plaid Brothers Software designed “Portfolio Manager?? for the securities industry in 1983. It is a dos based internet browser, contact manager, accounting & data base (the database is a dBASE III+ .dbf format). Designed for the security industry professional. Portfolio Manager allows the users to trade online allowing rapid deployment of stock updates and extensions. In 1998 Plaid Brothers Software was brought out by Sungard Data Systems. There is a parallel port security key which must be present in the parallel port for the soft ware to run. The security device is a Sentinel Pro Dongle. My client owns a licensed copy of Portfolio Manager and has the parallel port security key dongle. Unfortunately the key has a bent pin and has to be handle very carefully for the program to run. I need programmer to rewrite the executable file and remove the security dongle requirement for the program to run. The successful programmer will deliver a new executable file that will run in either a dos or Windows XP system. I can provide the executable porgram by email or you can down load it from a secure site which I will provide access to. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
