(Full-stack web developer) • Experience in project management • And an unparalleled love of building elegant software • Passion for working at an early-stage company Gazaab Social Ventures was set up with the aim of alleviating poverty through social entrepreneurship, and through our 4 years of history, we’ve done an epic job helping more than 183 entrepreneurs set up 38 businesses across many communities in Nepal and India. Our innovative approach to poverty has won us much press and brought us to many places, including TedxSingapore and Channel NewsAsia. Today, we’re moving on to an even more exciting phase where we can accelerate the eradication of poverty to the extent that, in 3 years, we aim to be able to help more than 10,000 people escape out of poverty, with a new tech program that you can be involved in. We believe that we can change the way travellers engage themselves when experiencing a new culture. We are building a tech platform to connect micro entrepreneurs in developing countries who are equipped with a unique skill/craftsmanship with tourists who seek indigenous and affordable experiences. In this way we satisfy the myriad taste of tourists who seek to plunge themselves in authentic experiences with the locals and the country’s culture but more importantly, we synergistically help these micro entrepreneurs by exponentially increasing their household income which they would otherwise not be able to generate, and eventually move them out of poverty, profitably. Gazaab is looking for a talented Head Tech Dude to lead the development of our flagship web application and in tandem roll out its accompanying mobile applications. You'll have the opportunity to build beautiful products with massive impact and shape our technology to make it world class and sexy to users!
