Import, Scan, and or OCR into program written materials (.doc, .pdf, .tif, etc) that one wishes to create into a template for word; user then "paints" the areas which are desired to be bookmarked for special input, i.e. highlight "To" address, "Re" line, "Greeting" etc on the business letter with a paintbrush. (Could be different colors for different things... header, footer, caption, to, from, re line, etc. all the parts of legal documents, esp.) Painting (highlighting essentially) from certain paintbox buttons on the right will evoke a pick box as to what kind of bookmark, which will then provide users with choices later when the template works which will let him select names from his contact list, etc.
The boilerplate language which is in between these bookmarks must be editable too to tweak details.
Output must be savable in ".dot" format, in template directory of choice, also in .txt.
## Deliverables
EXAMPLE: Starting with a Word document as an example - say an executive sent a letter to a client. He wants that exact letter available to use for future letters to other clients without having to reinvent the wheel. So he will take that Word document, import it into the software; the software must be able to have a paintbrush functionality which will designate any field the particular user wants to make into a variable field. Once these fields are designated, the program will strip out the existing information, i.e. recipient block, sender block, document caption or header, as in a legal document, or ??? and leave a code in there which will refer the future user to a list or database full of other names, headers, captions the user can select to plug into this recipient block. It will then save this whole thing as a .dot or template file which can be used again and again for other duplicative letters. The letter language would be editable, but would always initially come up the same initially, since it is a template.
