I have a vb program that stores information about chemical batches of reagents. When a reagent get old and needs to be disposed of, the user clicks on a date out buttone and enters a date that tey removed this chemical from stock. When the save button is clicked after a date? is entered? the save enters an copy of the record in an archive database. Currently the next step is to delete that record and make a new record with just the chemical name and ID so that there is a blank record fo the chemical. We need to change this process. Instead of deleting the record we need to? keep the record and clear all fields except for "ID", "Reagent Name", "Preparation", and "Comments".?
By deleting we are breaking a link to another table that shows location, and we are adding two additional "saved" fields. - Preparation and comments.
if you look for? the code below it will put you in the right area. as you can see the programmer is adding a new record with two fields.
Set rsARloc = Nothing
End If
