I will need to have a page which allows people to drop off photos with descriptions and contact information from a standard Web form. The photos would be named with a case number (e.g. [login to view URL], [login to view URL]) that matches up to a number in a tab-delimited text database (or MySQL if needed) that provides the contact information, description, and possibly other information. The page where the photos are dropped must be secure, that is, other people would not be able to view the pictures OR the database. It is very important that this be robust / not subject to errors, bugs, unavailability, or problems AND be open to people with a variety of Web browsers on Mac and Windows and perhaps Linux - IE, Mozilla, Safari/Konquerer, and perhaps even Netscape 4 if possible. I should be able to choose the number of fields and field names for the related database and the system should be flexible enough to adapt (I realize I'd need to re-initialize the database to avoid problems). It must allow photos in JPG, GIF, PNG, and TIFF at least - actually I guess the program wouldn't need to know the photos' file formats and should just make sure they're not executables e.g. PIF, EXE, COM. Mac users may be posting without file extensions and they need to be able to use it too (e.g. a jpeg file could just be named "MyPhoto" which the program would change to "5" while "[login to view URL]" would become "[login to view URL]").
Please send me a message if any of this is confusing or nonsensical.
