Web presentation of archieved mails stored in MySQL

We have developed a mail-archive and would like to present the mails in a web-based interface. There is no information received by the application, no write to the database - it's only a display application. The application must be coded in PHP interfacing to the MySQL with a sober, simple layout. ## Deliverables The interface must be coded in PHP, runnable on a standard RedHat Linux 9.0. Apache is installed, but must be configured to support the application specified below. All changes to the system (configuration files, installed packages etc.) must be documented. You will get SSH access to the server to configure the server. The code must be documented both in the code and as a general overview. 1. Layout The application must be coded with stylesheet enabled layout and no framesets. Graphic elements are allowed for layout purposes. As far a possible a separation of code and layout is desirable. 2. The database Consist of three tables storing message 1) headers, 2) body text and 3) unique filenames of attachments. Each message has a unique message id, which is key to the body and attachments tables in which there can be multiple entries for each message. Attachments are stored in the filesystem (/usr/local/archive) with an unique filename. The unique filename and the original filename is stored in the attachments table. PHPMyAdmin should be installed and setup to access the database. 3. Main view From the main view there should be the following links: a. Display messages grouped by sender b. Display messages grouped by receiver c. Display messages grouped by date received 4. Displaying each of the groups (a, b, c) as lists The results of the query to the database should be presented in a nicely formatted tabular list. 4a. It should be customizable (in the code) how many records should be shown on each page. Next and previous buttons/links must be provided 4b. Each message must be presented with: sender, receiver, date, subject and x words from the body text (x must be configurable in the code) 4c. If there are attachment(s) this must be indicated by a "bullet" or indicator 5. Display a message When clicking on a message in the lists described above, the message should be displayed on a new page (same window). 5a. The display of the message should include: Sender, Receiver, Date, Subject, Body 5b. Sometimes there are several bodies (ie. plain text and HTML - stored in separate rows in the body table) only one should be shown 5c. All attachments must be linked and downloadable. The original filename (stored in the database) should be used instead of the unique filename in the filesystems. This "rename" should be on-the-fly. 5d. The "title"-tag should include the subject or x words from the body text 5e. If possible relevant META tags should be used to improve search engine indexing of the mails 5f. Links back to the previous list and to the main view 5g. The message display should be printable on A4 without any recoding (ie. not too wide table) General: 1) Complete, installed and fully-functional working program(s) and complete source code of all work done. 2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 3) Documentation of all changes to the system and to the application. ## Platform RedHat Linux 9.0
