Online Payment Gateway Programming

The online payment gateway is in the middle between merchant banks and shopping carts to process credit card transactions. The most frequently used gateways in osCommerce include [login to view URL], PSiGate, iPayment, and SECPay, etc. My merchant bank service provider allows me to use my own merchant gateway to replace [login to view URL] if my own gateway can get approved by Firstdata -[login to view URL] . To lower the transaction cost, I need a custom payment gateway for myself and also for my customers' usage. In another word, I want to build a similar payment gateway system similar to [login to view URL] and iPayment, etc. so will be able to use it for translations. It can be a basic gateway system, instead of a fancy one like [login to view URL], as long as it could get approved by Firstdata. Be honest, I am not sure how a payment gateway works myself although I am a five year user of [login to view URL] gateway and five year reseller of three major merchant account banks in USA. To be qualified for this project, you should understand of how a gateway works and how it connects to merchant account bank first. Hopefully, you have a real experience in gateway programming before. As usual, we ask you to show real understanding of the project and provide similar projects you have done to prove you do have experience. If my asking price is lower than what you think, just give me an offer. However, you have to remember that should the cost be very high, I would prefer to keep using Authorize.Net.
