I have a flashcard program, and in order to import, it has to be in a specific format. For example:
Q: What color is the sky?
A: Blue
A: Sometimes orange at sunset
Q: Who is the president?
A: Obama
Each A: space (has to be upper case and have space after), is one line of an answer. You can have as many A: as you want, each A: is a new line. So, the Blue would be on a separate line and the sometimes orange at sunset would be on a separate line. The blank line differentiates between questions.
So, I need to convert stored Excel and Word questions into this format. The user can just copy and paste their word questions (that are in a one column questions next column answer format) into a textbox, and then it will convert this text into the Q&A format. I'd like to have the ability to output all the conversion to a text document, so the user can just click download results and they can just use that document to import.
Some Excel users have carriage returns in their document. If there is a good way to deal with these, let me know. I've only seen that you have to have the user replace all the carriage returns with a symbol such as '|' or <br> or something.
This should be fairly straight forward. I will provide examples once selected to make it as clear as possible. I need this up ASAP.
<[login to view URL]>? - kinda ugly example of what i'm looking for. If you can make it pretty, even better.
Thanks.
