We do run an Oracle 11g database centered application with an fat java applet front end.
We do seek an Java Expert capable to identify where performance in the applet is lost and what are the reasons and cures for those losses.
Ideally you are an expert in profiling java with approriate profiling tools to efficently and quickyl identify the performance hot spots. However, we would leave the method selected to identify performance hot spots to you.
In order to qualify for this bid, you need however to briefly indicate your analysis method and results presentation.
Please don't forget to indicate your experience with applet or java tuning or, if you are new to this field, why you think you qualify still for this job.
**This bid is based on the single job to:
a) ? identify why it takes so long from starting the applet unitl the user can work with the applet.
**
You identify where the time is consumed, why and how to reduce the time spent.
Our developers would then implement your proposed changes and you are planed to supervise? for the correctness of their work. However, supervision is not required. Please indicate if that supervision is not part of your offerings.
As an option, we offer you to implement the improvements yourself as part of extra bids.
## Deliverables
Formal report of the profiling results of the applet startup process until the user can work with the applet idicating:
a) What "happens" during startup of the application e.g. what functions are run
b) How does the startup time distribute by functions executed.
c) Pointing out hot spots (heavy time, resource consumers)
d) Explanation what causes hot spots and the wether this i normal or abnormal resource uage at that point of processing
e) Proposal per hot spot how to reduce resource usage
