Drupal site - New Role with limited access to existing secured portal

Our Drupal website has a secured section ("consultant portal") that is only accessible by consultants who sell/support our products. We are looking to create a new Role that provides only part access to our secured consultant portal. (We only want them to be able to see certain items in this consultant portal.) 1. The challenge is the landing page - The page consultants land on when they log in is made up of various Blocks - many of these blocks we will not want to be available to the new Role to view. Is it possible to have a different landing page just for people in this new role or is there a way to control which blocks appear based on one’s assigned Role? 2. We also have a bug with the Consultant Company content type. When you go to select the countries served, we get a message (see attached file) You can click open, save or cancel and it just hangs. The list of states/provinces that you can choose from never loads.
