Website Development Specification Domain Name: Confidential. The details of the company will remain confidential at present. Once a bidder has been selected and after the signing of a Non-Disclosure agreement, the details of the company will be made available. However, to give an idea of the type of site the company is aiming for, some other companies operating within the same business sector are shown below. [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] Aim of the Site: To improve the appearance, content and presentation of the existing company site as well as increase findability of the site through natural SEO. No of Pages: The site is expected to have 80-100 pages. These should be based on a custom CMS. Off-the-shelf CMS software such as Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal shall not be used. Content: The content will be provided to the developer in the form of MS Word, image and video files. Design: The design will be bespoke, bright, uncluttered, contemporary and will be suitable for a professional, technical organisation. Sans serif fonts will be used throughout. Site Architecture: A site map will be provided by the company representing the desired architecture and organisation of the site content. However, this will be finalised with the developer during the execution of the work. Compatibility: The website shall be compatible with all major browsers including Internet Explorer 6 and upwards, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera. It should also be compatible with specified older versions of these browsers. The site will be fast to load and should be operable in low bandwidth environments. The site should be responsive and operable on tablets, ipad and mobile devices. Deliverables: source codes and DB files Schedule: The assignment is expected to commence before the end of November 2013. The assignment should be completed within 7 weeks. Intellectual Property: All intellectual property provided to the developer during the course of development of the site will remain the property of the company. Intellectual property with regard to the website will also become the property of the company. Languages used: PHP, HTML5,CSS, JS/Jquery, ASP.NET. Flash should not be used to develop any part of the website. Content Management: A control panel shall be provided. Hosting: The site will be hosted on the company’s servers. Bugs and errors: Any bugs or errors found on the site after launch will be rectified free of charge.
