Handheld App

I want someone to code a very small executable that can be installed on Windows CE 5.0 (and if possible Palm 5) OS that will use the standard-in to gather an alphanumeric input and then search a small database for this record...if it exists then create a record, if not then a few questions will be answered and another record will be created. Step two is to help my labs set up a dev environment to continue developing on this very basic application. I do not care what language you code this in, but it must be able to be compiled in executable form, and the code must be turned over and be expandable. by my team. I would prefer open source solutions (especially Java based). The main reason I am turning to rent a coder is to get a start on a project...we need to find out how to code on a PDA...if you get me started here I will pay you well. Thanks. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows CE 5.0 (mandatory) and Palm 5 (optional but desired) Java preferrably, but will accept C++, python or other solutions as long as they are compilable into an executable format for bootup.
