Simple Listview app in ANDROID with small function required

I need a simple list view sample app, that allows users to select and deselect listview items but the selections should only be based on the number of items allowed to be selected. Everything else should be disallowed. For e.g. I have a listview with A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H. However i only allow 4 items to be selected. So i select, A, B, C, and the counter reduces from 4 to 3 to 2 and so on. When it is zero, no further selection is allowed. Unfortunately i dont have the code, but i believe this can be done with any dummy data too. Please help
