Hello, I have been playing chess for as long as I can remember, though I am not a typical hardcore player. Let me just say I like the game enough to even recommend it to anyone. A friend of mine and I are actually planning on releasing a new board game he invented which is equally exciting to play. I am aware that there are several chess engines which chess games use in the background. But I never took the time to remember their names (if I recall gnu chess is one of them...)! How about making the game playing across a diverse set of platform, not just iOS and Android but also across conventional web browser and native software on a PC? I have the skills to implement all of that. For this project I actually will need to acquire more skills in the course of the project, but I will say right now I have at least 70%. Playing games and especially developing them are very fun things for me. I can't wait to get started on this one. When I read "...adapted for multi player game play...", I feel that here is someone who knows what he/she is talking about... games are more fun being played with others! One thing that drives me to want to re-implement certain things is their lack of being properly done. This sounds like a project I will be more than willing to get it done right. One aspect being the ability to "play in a local network not connected to Internet". For some reason apps these days just think that everyone will always have Internet access (I sure wonder why)!
