Mobile php programmers to troubleshoot disappearance of our mobile site [url removed, login to view] after site was restored onto a new host's server by taking full site backup. => But we are pretty sure ALL THE FILES IN THE MOBILE SUBFOLDER MOVED OVER ARE ALL INTACT on the new server's restored site.
We looked at the files in the folder 'mobile' in the public_html folder after site was restored. THE FILES ARE ALL THERE IN THE MOBILE FOLDER and it APPEARS NOTHING IS MISSING, but the weird thing is that when we visit the url [url removed, login to view] on our browser, nothing is showing on the web, EXCEPT the following words:
"ERROR 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND
Why am I seeing this page?
How to find the correct spelling and folder
404 Errors After Clicking WordPress Links
How to modify your .htaccess file"
However, the old site hosted on the old server is showing so many things on it, in fact a complete mobile domain, when we visit [url removed, login to view] or its associated pages.
So, if files are all moved over by restoring from backup tar gz file, then what's the reason that visiting [url removed, login to view] reveals only error message on the page, even though we have edited our domain registrar nameserver settings to point to the new server?
Does anyone know why? Could it be that some settings like .htaccess is not replicated on new server after we restore a backup onto the new host?
