I am a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in Abaqus finite element analysis. I propose to review the STL file and to determine the appropriate workflow towards producing a high quality triangular mesh; this may entail creating a new SolidWorks 3D model. I need to see the geometry, boundary conditions and loads in order to properly assess the task.

Hi, what I would do is first I will fix the mesh using blender of fusion360 also at this stage I can change it to STEP file to then be simulated fairly easy especially you say you have simple loading condition. contact me and send me the files to start working on it immediately
