Hello
We need PROFESSIONALS, with a very good grasp of XHTML/MYSQL/JSP/CSS implementation, who can meet deadlines and have an eye for detail. If you think you fit the profile, read on.
The actual auction engine resembles that found in [login to view URL], so we suggest a quick look at this website before placing your bid.
There will, however, be several differences in terms of design (we have a PSD template for this effect) and functionality/terms used. These differences in spec are fully detailled in a word document, but you (the service provider) will only see this document after signing an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement).
The auction engine will only need to deal with one highly valuable product at a time and, in total, there will only be about 15 pages. We will also need a simple admin panel (not included in the number of pages as it is up to you how it looks e.g. tabs, one page form, etc.), to enable control over user registrations and the auction itself.
We will try to help in every way possible, as we really want this website done yesterday! Nevertheless, we will never compromise quality/security over speed. You will have: the site structure document, the PSD template, images (logo, background, etc.), sketches of each page giving an impression of the functionality we expect in each (e.g. About us, Privacy Policy, etc.) and the text to be put on the website (we will provide this towards the end).
The schedule of this project, after you win it, should be as follows:
1- We send you an NDA;
2- You sign and return it;
3- We give you our server details and login/pass info;
4- We send you the documentation, and the sketches, to help you get started on the engine and site structure/layout;
5- We discuss any doubts, or problem areas, via email or MSN Messenger and agree on a deadline;
6- You finish the project;
7- We test it;
8- You complete any minor tweaks (there should only be minor tweaks at this stage);
9- You upload the website and we re-test it on our server;
11- You integrate our bank's payment system* (users will be directed to payment page);
10- We send you payment, which signals the end of our contract.
* For testing purposes the payment system should just simulate payment.
We hope to create a decent working relationship, so we can call upon you when work is needed on our website (maintenance) or for our business partners.
Any questions just ask, but bare in mind we can only go into specifics after signing an NDA.
Thanks.
