Polish speaking freelance graphic designer for branding & publishing work

I am looking for a Polish + English speaking freelance designer, living in Poland, to support me in various design projects. We are a boutique design practice based in Melbourne, Australia with our core focus on brand strategy, branding, brochure design and book publishing. In this current climate our business is growing, but the workload fluctuates so we are looking for reliable and passionate freelance designer that we can add to our core team that can take on work projects on a per-needs hourly basis at short notice over the next 6 months, working remotely. We run a tight ship so you must be able to adhere to and work within our systems and processes, utilizing various apps and technology for collaborative remote work. We are looking for: • Book publishing & brochure designers – you must have in-depth InDesign experience for long copy layout and an eye for art direction • Branding designers – you must have conceptual skills and in-depth Illustrator experience for designing high end vector logos and brand identities • Web/digital designers – you must have Photoshop & Wordpress experience creating gifs, social media tiles and assets for FB, Instagram, Linked In and YouTube and as well as updating Wordpress sites, creating landing pages and EDMs. • Unicorns that can do all the above as well as general marketing & promotions duties for our own marketing efforts. Who you are: • Have at least 5 years experience and formal qualifications in Graphic Design or Digital Design • Have very good knowledge of the Adobe suite - Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop • Excellent conceptual, art direction, graphic design and technical skills • Timely and meticulous, ability to meet tight deadlines and work fast • Open to co-operation and contact with the team in Australia • You can write and speak work-level English • Familiar with current trends in graphic design and sense of aesthetics • Excellent knowledge of pre-press, finished art skills and file set up for print as well as digital platforms • Passionate about graphic design, business, branding, brand strategy, social media and publishing • Responsible and accountable, can work remotely with minimal supervision • Highly-organised, good management and take responsibility for entrusted tasks • Commitment and desire for personal development Your tasks will include (but are not limited to): • Take direction from the Creative Director • Create creative concepts and designs based on the direction & brand strategy provided • Conduct research and create mood boards using Pinterest and Google • Finesse existing design concepts and provide additional design alternatives • Roll out concepts and designs across various media • Prepare artwork and finished art files for print and digital platforms • Design book covers, book interior page layouts, and author and book related marketing collateral • Design advertising and marketing materials for posters, flyers, banners, billboards, signage, car wraps, brochures, powerpoint presentations, business cards, letterheads, email signatures, folders, websites, apps, social media content, blog graphics, direct mail, email newsletters etc • Update Wordpress websites, create new pages, create landing pages • Create gifs & images for social media • Design logos, brand identity, conceptual designs • Communicate with team via email, Asana, Voxer, Zoom • Adjust designs per client requested changes • Communicate with printers, sign writers and other suppliers • Create, update and maintain marketing collateral and social media content for the Maja Creative brand • Edit and retouch images in Photoshop • Create vector graphics and icons • Consistently update the Creative Director on progress of jobs as per system and schedule • Create/improve internal systems and document them • Attend schedule weekly and quarterly planning meetings via Zoom • Assist with R&D and research new trends, apps, methods, ideas etc.
