Good community partner – Allows individuals within the community and local organizations to help place children in need of care more easily. Reduces time spent on fielding waitlist inquiries – No more phone calls to simply ask if space is available. Community: Qualified care – Highlights options for qualified care in the community and reduces non-traditional ways of searching (social media, wanted ads, etc.) thus reducing un-safe placements. Planning – Allows those in need of care to find it and plan on a timeline. With a transparent view of the waitlist, expectations will be set appropriately reducing frustration. Tool for non-profits and local health and social services programs – Creates an inclusive view of the childcare needs and the situation within any given community. Privacy – Enables families to privately seek child care before they are ready to officially enroll in a program/on a waitlist (planning a move, planning an adoption, early pregnancy not ready to announce, etc.). How: Child Care Providers: - Go to the website - Log in with facility specific account information - Create profile – Contact information for the facility (Center name, address, phone/fax/email and Center Director/contact name and phone/email). Then input details as to how the waitlist is managed (i.e. based solely on age, company-sponsored with employee priority, sibling priority, etc.), and input room details (e.g. Room Name: Infant Room, Desired Capacity: 8, Age Range: 8 weeks through 12 months, details around full time/part time options). - Populate roster for each room with the childs name, birth date and expected “vacate” date.
