2 Second Video Starting Animation

I publish various videos to youtube for a motorcycle racing team called JD Racing. I would like to make the videos slightly more professional by adding a consistent starting animation similar to those seen at the start of movies. An example of what I mean can be seen in the first couple of seconds of the below videos: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] (I really like the style of this animation) I'm sure this type of animation has a name, but I am unsure what that name is. I would like the animation to start with a black screen, and then in some way, bring the logo onto the center of the black screen and finish as shown in the attached image. The animation to bring the logo on to the screen should not be as simple as a fly-on or fade-in, but more complicated. I am not entirely sure what I am after, so a few options to select from would be ideal. Animation details: Resolution- 1920x1080 Duration- Approximately 2 seconds I can supply logo in PNG, EPS or any other format required.
