Two Excel 2010 VBA sub functions

XML to text, Replace text (for translation purposes) and separate text Excel VBA sub functions We want to have two (almost identical) sub functions in excel function trans_main (inputcell) endfunction function trans_table (inputcell) endfunction A. function trans_main (inputcell) inputcell contains data. The data can be found in column N of the attached. Cell Data are in xml form Cell data contain three parts (sometimes all three, sometimes only two, etc): - text (descriptions, etc) - a table (with size/colour combinations - url links who point to photos The function: • Converts the inputcell string to text (from xml) • Removes all links to photos (there are links to photos that we want to discard) • Loops through the ‘=Terms!A4:B30’ data that we provide. For each string found in first column, it replaces with the greek text in the second column • What is now the new string (the translated string), should be converted back to xml format • From what is left, we keep only the text B. function trans_table (inputcell) inputcell contains data. For each string found in first column, it replaces with the greek text in the second column • What is now the new string (the translated string), should be converted back to xml format • From what is left, we keep only the table So, the first function returns text in xml form (whenever text is present); the second function returns a table (whenever a table is present) We do not want a macro! We want it to be built as sub functions. If you believe that converting to text and back to xml is not needed, then please comment. We emphasise though the fact that xml contains words that we don’t want to accidentally translate (for example color). What is needed is that input and output are in xml format Excel version is 2010
