Traffic light

I was planning on using a breadboard to simulate a traffic light. the task I guess is you can do anything but we have to use Arduino and Matlab together nothing specific this is an open project. anyway, on the breadboard, you will have lights... for a one-way road, and I wanted to include a camera that could detect traffic and turn off the main side traffic light. The reason for Matlab is to use the camera, which is going to communicate with the Arduino in someway. so it can detect oncoming traffic and will only open due to a car approaching. In this method, we can use a Hotwheels car.
