Hi, I believe you want to create a console for an inverter with RS485 serial interface. Though it is standard RS485 interface, it depends on how the interter is implementing the commands. I have worked on several projects involving serial (using Arduino/raspberry pi and PC) using corresponding interface (to match with rs485 serial lines) like interfacing industrial boiler, interfacing with mdb cashless device etc. Let me know more information about this. Hi I did the same thing for rectifier and DGset. Rectifier and DGset Status can be acquired using RS485(Modbus) or SNMP Protocol...... Then the status is transmitted to remote location using Ethernet.... I used Arduino Ethernet shield that is mounted on an arduino mega. Arduino Mega make requests and acquires data from DGset... Then through Arduino Ethernet shield it makes connection to server and Posts its data their.... I also published data on Server using WIFI Module ESP8266............
